FUSED SILICA & ALUMINA COMPONENTS

Ceramic Tubes & Hollow Rollers

Fused silica hollow rollers and drawing-based cylindrical components are available with central and auxiliary bores. Manufacturing may include near-net shaping, sintering and precision cold machining; wall section, bore pattern, ends, straightness, runout and inspection remain drawing-specific.

Large hollow fused silica ceramic rollers
PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Ceramic Tubes and Hollow Rollers by Drawing

Large fused silica hollow rollers are available with a central bore and multiple auxiliary end bores. Typical applications include horizontal glass tempering and annealing, float-glass transfer, steel-strip continuous annealing and large-format tile production. The reference temperature of up to 1,200 °C applies only to the referenced hollow-roller grade and must be verified against load, atmosphere and duty cycle.
  • Tube material and grade reviewed from service conditions
  • Bore, wall thickness, length and end geometry checked from the drawing
  • Closed ends, holes, slots and machined interfaces reviewed for feasibility
  • Critical dimensions and inspection records agreed before production
MATERIAL OPTIONS

Material Options for Ceramic Tubes & Hollow Rollers

Material selection depends on temperature, atmosphere, load, contact conditions and tube geometry. The final grade is confirmed during drawing and application review.

Primary option for low-expansion thermal-process components.

Reviewed for wear, insulation and general industrial components.

Final selection depends on grade, geometry and service conditions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Ceramic Tubes & Hollow Rollers: Buyer Questions

Answers to common questions from engineering and purchasing teams.

RYANCERA currently supplies fused silica and alumina components. Fused silica is commonly reviewed for low thermal expansion, while alumina is considered for wear, insulation and mechanical service.

Yes, multi-bore and custom end geometries can be reviewed from a complete drawing. Bore diameter, position, wall section, end details and inspection method must be defined.

Use a dimensioned drawing with datums, tolerances and critical characteristics. State whether straightness or runout applies and define the working length and measurement method.

Temperature capability depends on the exact material grade, load, atmosphere, support arrangement and duty cycle. Any published reference value must be verified for the actual application before quotation.

Prototype and repeat-production requirements are reviewed separately because tooling, process control, order quantity and inspection planning may differ.

Available records may include agreed dimensional, straightness, runout, visual, material and batch documents. State the required reports and acceptance criteria in the RFQ.
